The Forensic Science Society was founded in 1959 with the aim, to advance the study, application and standing of forensic science and to facilitate co-operation among persons interested in forensic science and the administration of justice throughout the world.
Now the largest of its kind in the world, the Society is international in its scope having more than 2000 members in over 64 countries. The California Association of Criminalists is an affiliated body.
The Society's quarterly publication Science & Justice with its Professional, Scientific & Technical Sections, together with meetings and proceedings, aims to encourage education and research.

Membership forms
Applicants require two referees who are a member of the Society. If unable to satisfy this requirement, the Membership Ethics Committee will consider two persons who can verify the credentials of the applicant.
